
Like many business's The Herb & Spice Mill had no idea they would be doing something completely different to what they set out to do. Our first and only product for the first year was a Mulled Wine sachet sold in a Brown Paper Bag on a Barrow at Victoria Park Market, Auckland Christmas 1992. Years later we had products, Mulled Wine, BBQ Marinade, Chilled Spiced Cider and Fruit Compote all packaged in Brown Bags. Not a good selection for the New Zealand Christmas, which is what we originally designed them for. We had to think what the New Zealand Christmas was all about. EASY-Sun, BBQ's, Outdoor Picnics and Entertaining family & Friends. Hence the Herb & Spice Mill Gourmet Dips began. We worked from our Home kitchen and knew we wanted to package them in Brown Bags like the Mulled Wine so we had to develop a Dip using dry ingredients. Along with one of the coolest people I have ever been lucky enough to have as a friend the Dill & Wild Onion Dip was Born. " We received your Dill & Wild Onion Dip in A Gift Basket sent to us and it NOwhere! We had no Retail Outlets, but now we do! Today they are sold through Specialty Retailers (NOT SUPERMARKETS) through out New Zealand and presently just entering the Australian Market. We have 14 different varieties including 2 Salad Splashes. We hope, like many others you enjoy and experiment with them. |
